Use up your chicken Part 2

We had roast chicken on sunday, chicken risotto yesterday and pasties today.

Home made chicken and mushroom pasties!

Use your chicken 2

You need half quantity of short crust pastry cut into circles with saucepan lid.

I softened half an onion in a pan, added two sliced (leftover) mushrooms and leftover chicken (a leg and two wings).

When everything was nice and soft, I piled up some in the centre of the pastry circles, wetted the edges with water, folded them and press sealed them.

Cooked about 30 mins.

Served it with oven cooked potato wedges and veg.

I must admit I have tinned peas in the Pantry, just in case! 🙂

  1. Those look great! I am not sure what short crust pastry is though… perhaps it is the same as pie crust in the US?
What temperature did you cook them at?

    • It probably is pie crust in the US. Cook at 190C for about 30 mins (about 400F). By the way I added a little soya cream to the mix in the pan when things were soft to just add a bit of yummy-ness! Thanks for watching, it’s good to know you’re there! 🙂
