Well, Fakenham Market finds this time is about something someone found for me!
I was surprised a few days ago to be presented with these lovely spoons that a friend found on the market and thought of me.
They have now joined my collection! 🙂
I made some more soap!
This time I made the fragrance up myself. Neroli and geranium and it’s turned out lovely. I used 450g/1lb of SLS Free melt and pour soap base 3 tbs olive oil, 1/2 tsp of each of the essential oils and as its coming up to valentines day here in the UK, I used some fab heart shaped silicone cake cases I had for Christmas (and the microwave).
I’ll be taking these along with me to the regular Art and craft fair I do!
Many of you know that we have had the problem of having bees in a chimney that we want to use and we didn’t want to kill the bees (which was most peoples solution). We found a nice man who loves bees and was prepared to try to remove them for us without killing them. Yesterday he turned up at the door at 8 am to do the job.
I didn’t take photos of him partly dismantling our chimney!… but this is only part of a jackdaws news he found in there.
In the process of clearing the chimney our office was quite alive with bees.
Considering the amount of bees, there was only a small piece of comb that had honey in it, small but a real gift!
We extracted almost a jar of honey from it.
We now have, after a very busy and tiring day, a clear chimney ready to fit our wood burner my in laws have kindly given us 🙂
The second calf in the field next to us was born a few days ago. and here he is!
I was going to tell you about soap. But way more important, look what happened in the field next to us early this morning! 🙂
What a lovely Christmas and New Year we’ve had and hope you have too. We made the decision to have it to ourselves this year as we had been so busy with work in the run up to Christmas. We saw a few friends, but apart from that we spent it in each others company, with minimal TV, doing lots of creative things. What a blessed thing knowing you can choose not to be part of the rush.

We were delighted today to go and collect eight new chickens and a large chicken coop kindly given to us by a friend. Thanks to our lovely neighbour who is a man with a van, this was done quite quickly and easily!

Yes, I built a house today and it was great fun. You can buy one in kit form from Pixie hall as well as other fab Christmassy stuff!
It’s a shame to eat it! (But I’m gonna) 🙂
