It was a nice morning walking round the market today and having coffee with a lovely friend. Today’s find were this lovely artisan butter dish for £3.00….

….and these amazing paper doilies (1930’s I think) for 50p.

Well this week (as usual) I was really pleased. I picked up this lovely pendent watch for, wait for it….

….for just £1.00 and Keith got this little book for 30p. I know we’re not helping the economy but we’re happy! 🙂

No supermarkets for Lent continued

Another day of shopping supermarket free. Yes we are still managing! All this was bought in local shops or on the market, including meat, cooked meat and pork pie etc.

After Easter I will try and give a summary of how we found this challenge affected us and our shopping. 🙂

Today’s market was a little more bustling than it has been, I think there was a hint of spring in the air.

Today I bought this lovely french twine for only £4.00……

….and this bunch of mixed (some Norfolk) postcards for just £1.00……..

I’m quite pleased with my purchases as usual! 🙂

Decided to have Thursday off instead of Friday this week, which was a good choice because it was a lovely spring day. This meant I could have a slow relaxing browse round the Market. As well as being able to get some food, replacing things that we would have normally bought from the supermarket, I bought this 1 ltr glass jug for £1.50, a useful addition to the kitchen.
